Maa Baglamukhi

Maa Baglamukhi — also called Pitambara Maa — is the principal deity of this temple. She is the 8th of the ten Mahavidyas and one of the most powerful tantric goddesses in the Hindu pantheon.

In her iconography, she sits on a golden throne in an ocean of nectar. She holds a club to strike a demon while grabbing his tongue — symbolizing her power to paralyze evil. She is dressed in yellow; turmeric (haldi) is central to her worship.

Maa Mahalakshmi

🌺

Maa Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth, prosperity, and beauty, is enshrined in the right sanctum. As one of the principal forms of Adi Shakti, she bestows material abundance and worldly success.

Her presence alongside Maa Baglamukhi is deeply symbolic — protection from Baglamukhi is complemented by prosperity from Mahalakshmi, ensuring both safety and abundance.

📿

Maa Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, learning, and wisdom, is present here in her Pindi form — a natural stone manifestation considered especially powerful in the tantric tradition.

Students, scholars, musicians, and seekers of wisdom especially seek her blessings here. The Pindi form is considered more potent in tantric practice.
